Italian Serie A giants AS Roma have secured the signing of French international midfielder Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla.

The 29-year-old joins Roma from the Spanish La Liga outfit after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal.

Roma pay an initial 26.6m euros (£23.7m) for the former Stoke City star and another 4m euros (£3.6m) in potential add-ons.

He joined Sevilla from the Potters in the summer of 2015 and was hugely influential as Sevilla won the UEFA Europa League (UEL) in his first season at the Ramon Pizjuan Stadium, Seville.

He was part of the France squad that recently won this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
