Super Eagles of Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, has revealed that the team plan to take the match against Egypt, which is scheduled to take place in March, more than a friendly game.
The NFF had earlier announced the venue of friendly with Egypt the Super Eagles, scheduled for Tuesday, March 26.
The Egyptian Football Association also confirmed the international friendly in a statement.
According to freekicknaija.com.ng, Rohr stated, “I and my assistants are not taking the friendly match against Egypt lightly.”
“In fact, we are planning to win the friendly match in preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations this year.”
The two African giants, with ten titles between them, already sealed qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals, which is set to take place in Egypt in June.
