Rohr Approved Saudi Arabia Move For Super Eagles Star Musa

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that he consented to Ahmed Musa’s recent transfer to Al Nasr FC of Saudi Arabia.

The 25-year-old Super Eagles forward surprised many when he completed a multi-million pounds move from Premier League side Leicester City earlier this month.

Rohr spoke about Musa in a chat with reporters during a press conference in Lagos on Friday.

The press conference was held to unveil the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Seychelles.

In his words via CSN, Rohr said: “Ahmed sought my consent before he moved to Saudi Arabia. He asked me if it is possible for him to still play for the national team if he moves to Saudi Arabia, and I told him no problem.”

“At Leicester City, he was not playing regularly which was a big issue for him ahead of the World Cup, which was the reason why he had to secure a loan move back to CSKA Moscow.

”So, I don’t have any problem with him playing in Saudi Arabia. So far he plays regularly there.” He concluded.
