REVEALED: Why Lacazette got furious after being substituted

Alexandre Lacazette was less than pleased with Unai Emery’s decision to take him off in the second half of the 3-1 home win against Burnley on Saturday.

The Arsenal striker had the look of someone who desperately wanted to make a mark all afternoon and reacted furiously when he was removed from the action.

His words with Unai Emery were brief but it was when he got the bench that the Frenchman unleashed his frustration.

He appeared to get into a heated debate with a member of Arsenal’s coaching staff before taking his seat in a huff.

However, former Arsenal player Bacary Sagna claimed Lacazette’s reaction is a good sign.

He said on Sky Sports: “Lacazette’s reaction when he was subbed I like, as a player you want to play and score and he’s not happy, this is a good reaction.

“He’s just having a go at whoever he has to, for the team it’s good.”
