Newly promoted French Ligue 1 side Stade Reims have moved to the top of the table after they stunned favourites Olympique Lyon 1-0 in a week two clash played on Friday evening.

Argentina striker Pablo Chavarria was the hero for Stade Reims as he scored the only goal of the game on 32 minutes to hand his side a shock victory over Lyon for the first major upset in the new French Ligue 1 season.

The win makes it two wins from two matches for Reims and it proved to be enough to take the newly promoted team to the summit ahead of the other set of games scheduled for the weekend.
