Real Madrid Set Date for Eden Hazard’s Unveiling as Chelsea Agree on Transfer Fee

Chelsea have agreed to a £115 million transfer fee as Eden Hazard is set to join Real Madrid, according to reports from London.

Hazard will sign a four-year deal with Real with a wage set at £400,000 per week.

The two clubs have been in negotiations for two weeks, with Chelsea boss Roman Abramovich ordering the sale rather than facing the loss of the Belgian on a free next year.

The new faces of Real Madrid’s 2019-20 squad move ever closer to being officially unveiled, and assuming no complications in the coming few days, Monday 3 June will see Chelsea’s Eden Hazard join Los Blancos.

On Wednesday evening, the Belgian winger takes to the field for The Blues against London rivals Arsenal in the Europa League final. That game in Baku will take his full focus as he aims to leave the club he has served exceptionally for seven seasons since moving from Lille in 2012 on a high. After that, his attention will turn to his next challenge, wowing the Santiago Bernabéu crowd and the millions of Madridistas around the globe.

Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, during an interview on Sunday, acknowledged that the Belgian is the primary objective of the new project under Zinedine Zidane, although was reluctant to go too far considering the big game on Wednesday for the player.

Hazard’s presentation will be the first, but not the only one over the coming days in the Spanish capital. Madrid are still deciding which dates are most appropriate for both Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy, given their international commitments. Jovic’s deal is already complete, while the Lyon man is on track to be finalised soon.

Another presentation in the pipeline is that of the young Brazilian star, Rodrygo, currently on loan at Santos.
