Rangers Star Olusesi Bags NPFL Goal Award

Enugu Rangers midfielder Tope Olusesi has been named the recipient for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) VAT Wonder Goal Award for Matchday 20.

Olusesi won the award ahead of Nasarawa United’s Ikechukwu Nwani, Nyima Nwagua of Kano Pillars and Chidi Nwachukwu of Rivers United.

The Goal Award recipient was decided through voting on the NPFL Twitter handle and the website.

Tope Olusesi topped the voting process with 3621 votes ahead of Ikechukwu Nwani (1537 votes).

He becomes the second Rangers player to win the award this season after Kelvin Itoya was voted VAT Wonder Goal winner for Matchday 19.

The prize money of N150,000 will be shared equally between the player and a charity he will nominate.

Other VAT Wonder Goal Award recipients this season include the duo of Rivers United’s Emeka Ogbugh and Sochima Elum, Sunshine Stars’ Sikiru Alimi and Sikiru Olatunbosun of MFM FC
