Pure Daylight Robbery –Klopp Accuses VAR Of Denying Liverpool Penalty

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has expressed his disappointment over the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) refusal to award the Reds a late minute penalty in Sunday’s Premier League game against Man City.

Recall that Doku caught Mac Allister high on his body deep into second-half stoppage time but referee Michael Oliver waved away claims of a penalty.

VAR looked at the incident but decided that because Doku touched the ball before making contact with Mac Allister, they would not overturn Oliver’s decision.

However, Klopp disagrees and accused VAR of hiding behind the ‘clear and obvious phrase’.

“Hits him on the chest,” Klopp told reporters at his post-match interview.

“Does he touch the ball before? Yes. Does that make any difference, on any position on the pitch, if your leg is that high?
