PSG Suffer Huge Neymar Blow

French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have been dealt a big blow after it was confirmed that Brazilian forward Neymar suffered a fractured metatarsal and sprained ankle during Sunday’s 3-0 win over Marseille.

The world’s most expensive player, Neymar, was stretchered off during the French Ligue 1 clash at Parc des Princes and scan has revealed a “fissure of the fifth metatarsal” – a bone on the outside of the foot – and a “sprain of the right ankle”.

The duration of his recuperation is presently unknown but he is almost certain to miss his team’s crucial UEFA Champions League (UCL) round of 16 second leg clash with Real Madrid at the Parc des Princes.

In his reaction to the news of Neymar’s injury, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane said: “I don’t like it when a player hurts himself, I am not happy about the injury. We never rejoice when a rival is absent due to injury.”
