In the women’s category, Imo Grasshoppers inspired by Adaobi Okoro’s virtuoso performance comfortably defeated Desert Queens 32-16 while defending champions Plateau Peacocks brushed aside Seasider Babes 26-20.

League leaders Safety Babes overcame Owena Babes 34-17, Kada Queens defeated Abia Valliants 36-23 while Edo Dynamos 29-28 triumphed in a game of wills against Defender Babes.

Ghana Police beat Desert Queens 29-14 in an exhibition game that will have no bearing on the league standings.

In the men’s category, De Defender had to dig deep to defeat Sokoto Rima 28-27, defending champions Niger United were 47-29 victors over Owena Kings, Safety Shooters defeated Borno Spiders 39-26 while COAS Shooters struggled to a narrow 29-28 win against Kada Stars.

League leaders Kano Pillars scored an emphatic 27-14 victory over Prison Key Boys while local favourites Lagos Seasiders defeated Plateau Vipers 25-22.

Mudashiru Abdumajeed of De Defenders and Hope Sunday of Plateau Peacocks were named Most Valuable Players of the the day in the men and women’s categories respectively.
