Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020: Relief As Niger United Finally Win

There was palpable relief and a few smiles around the Indoor Sports Hall at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja as Niger United lifted a grave weight off their shoulders by finally winning a match at the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020.

The former Africa Champions were on course to lose all their games having lost seven on the trot, but eventually rallied to reverse their fortunes with an excellent 35-25 victory over Plateau Vipers on Monday.

Other games in the men’s category saw Rima Strikers defeat Kada Stars 38-24 while COAS Shooters edged Confluence Stars 27-26.

Kano Pillars blew out Delta Force 30-15 and Safety Shooters defeated Bormo Spiders 22-17

In the women’s category, Adorable Angel bounded to the top of league standing with a 29-27 victory against Imo Grasshoppers while Plateau Peacocks saw off Seasiders Babes 31-35.

Meanwhile, Safety Babes triumphed in the Abuja Derby as they defeated Defender Babes 35-31.
