Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020: Adebayo Blames Absent Players As Niger Utd Lose Again

Niger United are still without a win and have now lost all three of their matches in the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020 after they were trounced 28-23 by De Defenders at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday.

Reacting to their third loss on the spin, the team’s head coach Yekini Adebayo said the loss of major players just before the tournament is to blame for their woeful showing.

In other Day 4 fixtures in the men’s category, Lagos Seasiders continue to show signs of inconsistency, throwing away an early lead to lose 23-25 to Safety Shooters while Plateau Vipers saw off Confluence Stars 28-24.

Champions Kano Pillars beat Borno Spiders 30-22 while Kada Stars outshone Delta Force 28-21.

Elsewhere, it was a comfortable victory for Benue Queens as they swatted aside Desert Queens 28-17 in the only match in the women’s draw on Tuesday.
