Champions Chelsea have moved above Manchester United into second place on the Premier League table after a convincing 5-0 win over hapless Stoke City at home.

Goals from Antonio Rudiger, Danny Drinkwater and Pedro in the first quarter of the game before further strikes from Willian (penalty) and Davide Zappacosta in the second half sealed a one-sided victory for the Blues (45 points).

Manchester United have drawn three league games under manager Jose Mourinho for the first time after a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Southampton.

The result means that the Red Devils (44 points) drop from 2nd to 3rd position and they are now firmly back in the race for next year’s UEFA Champions League (UCL).

In the pick of the other games, Welsh side Swansea City have climbed off the bottom of the league following a 2-1 comeback win over their hosts Watford.
