Premier League Review (Sunday): United Close Gap On Leaders City As Liverpool Thrash Bournemouth To Secure Top Four Spot

Manchester United have moved to within eleven points of league leaders and city rivals, Manchester City, following their nervy 2-1 win at West Brom on Sunday evening.

José Mourinho’s men scored two goals in eight first half minutes courtesy goals from Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard but their hosts fought back after the interval through substitute Gareth Barry.

United thereafter held on to a third successive victory on the road to put a bit of pressure back on City in the title race.

In the other game played on Sunday, Liverpool leapfrog Burnley and Arsenal into the top four after a dominant 4-0 win against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino scored the goals for the Reds.
