Premier League Review: Liverpool Stunned By West Brom Fightback As Watford, Palace London Derby Clash Ends In Stalemate

Liverpool didn’t have the best of preparations ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League (UCL) semifinal first leg clash with Italian giants AS Roma on Tuesday after they were stunned by an impressive fightback from basement club West Brom as both sides played out a 2-2 draw in their Matchday 35 clash on Saturday afternoon.

Danny Ings gave the Reds an early lead for his first goal in more than two years before in-form Salah added a second goal before the hosts produced an impressive comeback through goals from Jake Livermore and Solomon Rondon in the dying moments of the game.

With the draw, Liverpool (71 points) significantly fail to close the gap on Manchester United (74 points) while West Brom (25 points) remain the basement club and are now so close to suffering relegation with the Baggies eight points adrift with three league games left.

In the other game on Saturday, Watford played out a goalless draw with visitors Crystal Palace in what was a London Derby clash played at the Vicarage Road.

Watford (38 points) stay in 12th with the point while Crystal Palace (35 points) move one place from 16th to 15th place on the league table.
