Premier League Review: City Within One Win Of Title After Everton Victory

Manchester City have moved within one win of securing the Premier League title following their 3-1 win over Everton at Goodison Park in a Matchday 32 clash played on Saturday night.

The Citizens raced into a three-goal lead in the first half courtesy goals from Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling before the hosts scored their consolation goal through a Yannick Bolasie strike in the second half.

The win ensured that Manchester City maintain their 16-point lead over nearest challengers and city rivals Manchester United at the top of the table.

José Mourinho’s men had earlier trimmed the gap to 13 points with a 2-0 home win over Welsh side Swansea City through first half strikes from Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez before the leaders restored their points lead with seven games left to play.

Both sides meet on Saturday evening at the Eithad Stadium with Manchester City on course to win the Premier League title if they can beat their rivals again this season having defeated Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford earlier in the season (December).
