Premier League Review: Chelsea Narrow Gap On Top Four With London Derby Win

Premier League champions Chelsea have moved within two points of 4th spot and the last place for next season’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) after they defeated Crystal Palace 2-1 at home in what was a London Derby clash.

Willian and a Martin Kelly own goal in the space of seven first half minutes put Chelsea 2-0 up before Dutch defender Patrick Van Aanholt pulled one back on the stroke of fulltime with the game already sealed for the Blues.

The win takes Chelsea to 56 points and within two points of fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur (58 points) who play Bournemouth in the late kickoff on Sunday while their opponents are languishing in third from bottom (18th spot) with 27 points.
