Premier League: Liverpool Thrash West Ham To Go Top

Title favourites Liverpool have gone to the top of the Premier League after they thrashed West Ham United 4-0 at home in their first game of the season.

The Reds took an early lead through last season’s topscorer, Mohamed Salah after good work from Scottish left-back Andy Robertson.

Senegalese international forward Sadio Mane added a second goal to give the five-time European champions a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Mane added a third goal in the second half before substitute Daniel Sturridge rounded off the convincing win.

The one-sided victory over West Ham United takes Liverpool ahead of former leaders Chelsea, who defeated Huddersfield Town 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.
