Premier League Clubs Suffer Big Blow On International Duty

Top English Premier League (EPL) clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal suffered respective blows on international duty after key players picked up injuries.

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini came off the Bosnia vs. Belgium qualifier on Saturday evening with a leg injury and has been ruled out for some weeks as a result.

Back-to-back EPL champion N’Golo Kante also sustained a suspected hamstring injury while he was on action for France in their 1-0 win in Bulgaria. This is certainly a big blow for English champions Chelsea, who are already without star striker Alvaro Morata for a few weeks.

Arsenal have also been hit by a big injury after Germany defender Skhrodan Mustafi pulled up during his country’s 5-1 home win over Azerbaijan on Sunday night. While speaking after the match, Germany coach Joachim Low confirmed that the defender would be out for a while.

With the aforementioned injuries, EPL clubs would be hoping they don’t record more injuries in the final days of the October international break.
