Leicester City have qualified for the final of the 2017 Premier League Asia Trophy after they defeated West Brom 7-6 during the dreaded penalty shootouts.
Both teams had earlier played an entertaining 1-1 draw in regulation time paving the way for penalties in a bid to separate the two teams.
West Brom started the match on the front foot and were rewarded with an early lead through new summer signing Jay Rodriguez’s long range effort but the immediate past English Premier League (EPL) champions battled back with an impressive solo strike from star man Riyad Mahrez in the 24th minute.
Both sides could not add to their tally in regulation time before West Brom youngster Sam Field missed during sudden death to hand Leicester City victory.
