Police in the Thames Valley are investigating reports that an over-excited Newcastle supporter brandished his penis during the 3-2 win over Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium during Tuesday’s FA Cup fourth-round replay.
A Toon fan made the headlines this week when he was caught on camera pulling out his penis after Allan Saint-Maximin’s stoppage-time winner in extra-time.
The celebration went viral on social media, but the Police have now confirmed that they are looking into the incident as a matter of ‘indecent exposure’.
Newcastle have also confirmed that they are assisting the police in their search to find the culprit.
A spokesperson from the club said this week: “We are aware of footage showing the clearly inappropriate actions of a supporter during the closing stages of Tuesday night’s FA Cup fourth-round replay at Oxford United.
“We have been asked to assist the police in their efforts to identify the supporter in question and we will provide our full support.”
No arrests are thought to have been made yet, with the search ongoing for the mystery fan who has yet to reveal himself.
The x-rated celebration even caught the attention of the Saint-Maximin himself as he the French winger spoke about it on Twitter.
The original video has been viewed over 3m times on Twitter, and was broadcast on BBC One, before the camera’s pulled away.
