Plateau United Dumped Out Of CAFCC After USM Alger Thrashing

Plateau United have been dumped out of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) after they were heavily beaten in the second leg of their playoff clash with USM Alger in Algeria.

The Nigerian champions had earlier taken a 2-1 lead from the home leg at the Soccer Temple in Agege, Lagos State but they could not hold on to the slim advantage.

USM Alger thrashed Plateau United 4-0 for a 5-2 aggregate victory to advance to the group stage.

The Algerian club will now join other clubs like Al Masry of Egypt, AS Vita Club of Angola and Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas in the draw for the group stage.
