Philippe Coutinho To Go On Strike, Wants Barcelona Move – Reports

Want away Liverpool midfielder, Philippe Coutinho will reportedly go on strike to force his move away from Liverpool to Barcelona.

According to Spanish news outlet, Mundo Deportivo, Coutinho is set to go on strike and have told “Jürgen Klopp, that he does not plan to wear Liverpool [Jersey] again. Even at the risk of losing the World Cup next season in Russia.”

The 25-year-old Brazilian, who handed in an official transfer request to Liverpool via email last Friday, did not feature for Liverpool in their Premier League opener against Watford last weekend due to injury.

Liverpool have rejected two bids of £72million and £90m from Barcelona, reiterating their strong stance that “no offers for Philippe will be considered”.

25-year-old Coutinho, who signed a five-year contract extension with the Anfield side in January this year, joined Liverpool from Inter Milan in January 2013, becoming an integral part in Liverpool’s charge for success, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists for Klopp’s men last season.
