Peter Cech poised to make Ice Hockey debut

Peter Cech will be a goaltender for Guildford Phoenix on his Ice Hockey debut on Sunday, months after dropping the baton of his football career.

Cech, a former Chelsea and Arsenal Goalkeeper made the shock switch after retiring at the end of the 2018/2019 English Premier League as a professional footballer.

During his lengthy career in the EPL spanning 15 years, Cech won four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and Europa League and kept a total of 202 clean sheets during his time as a footballer in England.

The 37-year-old is currently a technical and performance advisor assisting Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge and will combine his job at Chelsea with his newfound love, Ice Hockey.
