Paulo Guerrero Fails Drug Test

The Peruvian Footballer who plays as a striker for Brazilian club Flamengo and Peru national team will miss the world cup play-off against New Zealand as it has been confirmed that he tested positive for banned substances.

After Peru’s 0-0 World Cup qualifying draw with Argentina on the 5th of October, the Peru Captain who was selected for a doping test was confirmed positive.

Flamengo, been involved in the semi-finals of the Copa Sudamericana against Junior Barranquilla of Colombia and Paulo, been served with a suspension of 30 days by FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee will definitely be missing several matches at club level and of course, the New Zealand world cup play-off on the 11th and 16h of November.
