Paul Onuachu Bags Two Individual Belgian Pro League Awards

Paul Onuachu took home the Golden Boot for the top scorer and the 2020/21 Best Footballer of The Year award at the Belgian Pro League Awards ceremony at the JAM hotel in Brussels on Monday.

The Super Eagles striker saw off the challenge of Club Brugge’s Noa Lang and Beerschot’s forward Raphael Holzhauser to win the player of the year gong.

Both awards are a recognition of Onuachu’s record-breaking campaign in the Belgian top-flight for KRC Genk in the just concluded season.

The 26-year-old scored an incredible 33 goals in only 38 league games and scored 35 goals in total to help Genk win the Belgian Cup and secure second place in the table.

His exploits in Belgium has seen his name become a staple of conversation in the halls of power at Europe’s leading clubs and it is expected that a record-breaking transfer could materialise for him this summer.
