Fresh from winning his first game of the season after two losses in the opening two games, Rangers International of Enugu Coach Gbenga Ogunbote has opened up that the two losses against Akwa United and Lobi stars really affected the team.
The Coach further disclosed that they had to return to the drawing board after loosing their first two games and he was happy the effort yielded results with a 0-1 win against Heartland in Owerri .
In his words, Ogunbote said: “The two games we lost toughened us and we had technical reportof this team, and we really adhered to it, we thank God it paid for us, we would have scored more goals but unfortunately we could not but the one we scored got us the three points.”
The former Sunshine Stars of Akure manager says the away win will spur the team to do better in the league because he hopes to build on what the team did in Owerri to soar higher in the league.
“We’re just getting it and we pray we can manage the success, because the three points is like we have gotten the league, and honestly you can imagine when you loose your first games, the third games you need a lot of psychology to get it right.” he added.
