Osimhen Set ‘Limitless Goals’ After Breaking Napoli Duck

Victor Osimhen has declared its now time for “some limitless goals” after he scored his first goal for Napoli at the weekend.

Osimhen, 21, joined Napoli for a club and African record fee in the summer and while he excelled in preseason scoring back-to-back hat-tricks against L’Aquila and Teramo, has not quite found luck in front of goal in Serie A this season.

Despite being generally excellent in his first two competitive games for Napoli, the Nigerian international drew blanks in the wins against Parma and Genoa before bagging his first goal with an excellent strike from range in the 4-1 trouncing of Atalanta last weekend.

The Super Eagles striker celebrated with a T-Shirt inscribed with a message in support of the ongoing protests against Police brutality in Nigeria.

A relieved Osimhen then took to Twitter to express his delight at opening his goal account while setting his sights on even more accomplishments.

“Having accomplish[ed] all I thought was impossible for me through GOD, now I know better, time for some limitless goals and desire. GOD is the greatest we move #endpolicebrutality #forzanapolisempre,” he wrote.

Osimhen will hope to score in back-to-back competitive games for the first time for Napoli when they take on Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in their Europa League Group F opener on Thursday.
