Olufemi Kayode Asks For More From Lobi Stars Teammates Ahead Of NPFL Resumption

Lobi Stars goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode has called on his teammates to step up their performances when the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) resumes later this month.

The Makurdi-based side have a two-point lead at the top of the NPFL table and Kayod e would be hoping his side can maintain it in the quest for a first league title.

Olufemi Kayode was speaking about his side’s readiness ahead of the league’s restart on Wednesday, July 18 with his team scheduled to travel to Minna for an away date against Niger Tornadoes.

In his words via footballlive.ng, the shot stopper said: “Topping the table isn’t the major issue but keeping the pace sounds more important.”

“We have a mission to accomplish and at this stage the target must be met. Teams will always come hard at us because we are on top.

“The remaining 14 games are going to be difficult, but we have to look at ourselves and say let us perform the way we have been for the last 24 matches, and also be wary of the opponents.” Kayode concluded.
