Winger Sikiru Olatunbosun has joined Turkish second division outfit Menemen Belediye Spor from NPFL side Plateau United, where he played on loan last season.

The former MFM FC star has signed a 2-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

“Really excited to join this team on a two-year deal. I love it here, it’s a new challenge for me in my career.” the player wrote on his twitter page.

“The target is promotion to the Turkish top league which I believe we will get at the end of the season.”

Menemen Belediye Spor are currently joint-third in the one-week old Turkish 1st Lig, following their 2-0 win against Giresunspor last weekend.

In 2017, Olatunbosun shot to limelight when his sublime finish against Rangers in a league match in Lagos won him the prestigious CNN Wonder Goal award, the first by an NPFL player. The 24-year-old also made his international debut for Nigeria at senior level in June of the same year, coming off the bench in a 3-0 win against Togo in an international friendly match.
