Nigeria’s queen of the tracks, Blessing Okagbare has pulled out of both the 100m and 200m events at the ongoing CAA Senior Athletics Championship in Asaba, Delta State.

The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games bronze medallist won’t feature in the aforementioned events due to personal reasons and it remains to be seen whether she will compete in the long jump event.

Okagbare, who was inducted into the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Hall of Fame on Tuesday night, has been under pressure to perform as a result of severe criticisms arising from her poor showings in recent competitions.

The CAA Senior Athletics Championship is in its 21st edition and will run from Wednesday, August 1 through to Sunday, August 5.
