Nigerian sprinter Seye Ogunlewe has pointed out the poor state of the track at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, the host venue for the ongoing African Senior Athletics Championship.
100m specialist Ogunlewe warned other athletes about the track, especially lane 6&7.
“I advice anybody running in Lane 6/7 at the African Champs please be careful there are major slopes!” He said via his official Twitter handle.
Seye Ogunlewe missed out on a medal in the 100m on Thursday only for him to bounce back on Friday to win silver as a member of the 4X100m men’s relay team.
The Stephen Keshi Stadium track in Asaba, Delta State has been in the spotlight with several stakeholders, including athletes and officials, condemning its state.
