Ogbeche Signs For ISL Side North East United

Nigerian striker Bartholomew Ogbeche has completed his transfer to Indian Super League (ISL) side North East United FC.

The 33-year-old is the club’s first international signing of the 2018-19 season of Hero Indian Super League (ISL).

The former Middlesbrough and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star joins North East United from Dutch Eredivisie outfit Willem II.

His transfer was confirmed by the club on Saturday.

Bartholomew Ogbeche enjoyed a fruitful campaign for Willem II last season after he scored an impressive 10 goals in 20 matches.

The same can’t be said of his new club North East, who finished bottom of the league table at the end of the 2017/18 season and scored just 12 goals in 18 games.

With the club’s scoring problems in mind, Ogbeche is expected to provide firepower for North East United FC ahead of the new season.

The former Super Eagles forward made his debut for the three-time African champions in 2002 and went on to score three goals in 11 appearances.
