Odion Ighalo Joins Saudi Side Al Shabab FC

Odion Ighalo has joined Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab FC on a two-and-a-half-year deal after his loan spell at Manchester United ended last month.

The 31-year-old who signed the dotted lines on Thursday after passing his medical will don the number 89 Jersey – his birth year – for the King Fahd side.

Ighalo made the move from Shanghai Shenhua whom he joined in 2019, scoring 10 goals in 19 appearances and helping them to the 2019 Chinese FA Cup.

The former Super Eagles striker scored five goals in 23 appearances for Manchester United following a fairy tale deadline day move in January 2020.

Ighalo has also played for Udinese, Granada, Watford and Lyn in long and storied career.

He scored 16 goals in 35 appearances for the Super Eagles and won the Golden Boot as Nigeria finished third at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
