Odion Ighalo probably wakes up with a huge smile on his face each morning from the fascinating turn of events that has him living his dream.

Still basking in the euphoria of signing for his dream club, the Manchester United striker took to Twitter to reveal one more cause for celebration today – the birthday of his beloved mother Martina Ighalo.

Ighalo, a deeply committed family man, has never hidden the importance of mum in his life and career and regularly talks about her influence on his life.

Having lost his father years ago, Ighalo’s mother Martina has come to occupy a central role in the striker’s life.

And on the occasion of her birthday, the 30-year-old took to Twitter to share stunning pictures of his beloved mother with the caption: “Happy birthday to my Sweet Mum.”
