Odegbami Tasks Iheanacho To Seek Move Away From Leicester Nightmare

Former Nigerian international Segun Odegbami ‘The Mathematical’ has told Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho to exploit the January transfer window by moving away from his Leicester nightmare.

Iheanacho sealed a club record £25m move to the Foxes in the summer from Premier League leaders Manchester City but has struggled for playing time with his new club.

He has not featured for the former league champions in the last eight league matches and that has prompted Odegbami’s thoughts about Iheanacho moving away in search of regular football ahead of next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Speaking via ThisDay, Odegbami said: “Iheanacho is not a bad player. He is not playing as a result of Leicester coach having preference for another player playing his role. Okazaki is the one that is keeping Iheanacho on the bench.”

“The World Cup in Russia is barely six months away. Iheanacho needs to move to a club where he can be getting regulation action to keep him in shape for the World Cup.” he added.
