NWPL: Resumption of Nigeria’s Topflight Women League Suffers Setback

The resumption of the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) suffered a setback as the 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) initially slated to hold tomorrow Monday at Abuja got shifted by its management this weekend.

The 2019 AGM which was announced by the league body through Chief Operating Officer, Ayo Abdulrahman on Monday 29th April 2019 will no longer hold and the new date for the AGM has not been announced.

The shift of the 2019 NWPL Annual General Meeting (AGM) means that the commencement of the Nigerian Women’s League remains obviously uncertain.

Despite the delay in the resumption of the League, women teams are currently participating in the Aiteo/FA Cup in the country.
