NWFL: Thomas Dennerby Rates Matchday 1 of the 2019/2020 Season (AUDIO)

After a pulsating game between 2018 Federation Cup finalist Ibom Angels and Confluence Queens on matchday 1 of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby described the encounter as good and  “a pretty fair game”.

The Swede was present at the Confluence Stadium to see Confluence Queens begin their 2018/2019 NWPL campaign on a winning note with a 2-0 triumph over Ibom Angels.

“It was a pretty fair game; it could have gone any way because, during the open play on the field, the two teams were similar in capacity but the home team, Confluence Queens scored twice, from a penalty and the other a set-piece from a corner and a header.”

Ibom Angels next host fellow Angels from Abia State at the Uyo Township Stadium while Confluence Queens travel to face Invincible Angels on Wednesday, 31st July.
