Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme has expressed his delight about linking up with Super Eagles teammate Ogenyi Onazi at Turkish Super League side Trabzonspor.
The 29-year-old joined the club earlier this week from Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
On the prospect of linking up with Onazi, he told the club’s website: “He (Onazi) is my national teammates. So, I will get settled in there very well.”
“I feel very happy to be here, to be part of this team.” The three-time Israeli league and two-time Israeli Cup winner further said.
“I see that the team has a great ambition to be successful. This situation is very motivating for me as a player.
“I saw the opening game of the season, I love the amazing atmosphere, fans and stadium here.” He concluded.
Anthony Nwakaeme joined Beer Sheva from Hapoel Raanana in 2015 and went on to score 43 goals in addition to providing 24 assists in 120 games.
He made his only solitary appearance for the Super Eagles in 2017.
