Nuno Santo Extends Wolves Contract

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Santo has signed a one-year contract extension at the newly promoted Premier League side until 2021.

The 44-year-old Portuguese tactician joined the Midlands club in May 2017 and went on to mastermind their promotion to the English top flight by winning the Championship title last week.

He has now been rewarded with a one-year contract extension ahead of the new Premier League season which starts in August.

Wolves will face Merseyside outfit Everton in their first top flight match in six years on the 11th of August.

Reacting to the news of his contract extension, the former FC Porto and Valencia boss said: “We knew the project required time and now we have three years ahead of us.”

“In year two we know the challenge is even more difficult, but we have something that we hold onto – we have our own identity.” He added.
