Wikki Tourists FC have engaged the services of seven new players ahead of the 2019/2020 Nigeria Professional Football League Season(NPFL).

Former Kano Pillars midfield maestro Kamaluddeen Sikiru lead the list of the newly signed players who were unveiled in a brief ceremony at the conference room of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium Bauchi at the weekend.

Tourists Technical Adviser Aliyu Zubairu said the new players will provide depth and serve to strengthen the team in the coming season.

“We had problems in the attack last season but with the coming of Adamu Mohammed and Jamiu Akibu who were top strikers in their former clubs our goal droughts problem will be over Insha Allah,” Zubairu said.

Other players unveiled in addition to Kamaluddeen Sikiru include Mansur Saleh Aliyu who was signed from Kaduna side Real Stars, Ansaru Abubakar from Jigawa Golden Stars and Jamiu Akibu from Zamfara FC.

Adamu Mohammed was signed from Gombe United, Samaila Bello joined from Nasarawa side Akolosandi FC while Yusuf Abdullahi Mohammed was recruited from Turkey.

The 2019/2020 NPFL Season has been slated to kick off on the 22nd of September 2019 according to organisers the League Management Company (LMC).
