NPFL Update (Rescheduled Games): Plateau United End Kwara United Unbeaten Run As MFM, Rangers Share The Spoils

Nigerian champions Plateau United have ended basement club Kwara United’s five-game unbeaten run under new head coach Abubakar Bala following their 2-0 home win over the Afonja Warriors in a rescheduled Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) clash at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos on Thursday night.

Tosin Omoyele and Raphael Ayagwa scored either side of the halftime interval to give the champions an important victory.

The win takes Plateau United (25 points) above Yobe Desert Stars, MFM and Enugu Rangers into the top eight while Kwara United (18 points) drop from second bottom (19th) to bottom (20th) on the league table.

In the other rescheduled game, MFM FC of Lagos secured an impressive goalless draw at the home of former champions Enugu Rangers.

Rangers drop from 8th to 9th spot despite the point while MFM also drop one place from 9th to 10th position on the log as a result of the hard earned point.
