NPFL Review: Enyimba Close In On Continental Spot Despite Kwara United Draw

Enyimba have moved within one point of the continental spot after they were forced to a 1-1 draw by their hosts Kwara United in a rescheduled Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) game played on Wednesday evening.

Home-based Super Eagles midfielder Bartholomew Ikechukwu Ibenegbu gave the Aba-based side a ninth minute lead after Ernest Governor was upended in the box before Stephen Alfred’s second half strike rescued a point for the home side.

With the draw, Enyimba move two places up the table from 9th to 7th spot with 22 points and one point within third-placed Akwa United (23 points) who occupy the last continental position while Kwara United stay bottom of the table with 16 points.
