NPFL: Remo Stars Appoint New CEO and General Manager

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Remo Stars FC have announced the appointment of Mr Lukmon Ogungbefun as its new Chief Executive Officer.

The Sagamu based club made the announcement on its official Twitter handle on Sunday.

Ogungbefun, who previously served as the club’s General Manager (GM), has now been replaced by ex-international, Dominic Iorfa to serve as the new GM.

‘The Sky Blues Stars’ are facing tumultuous times after a Matchday 3 incident that involved extreme violence on the match official immediately after their home game.

Since then, Remo have been banished to Oshogbo to play their next three home fixtures, after a fine totalling six million naira had been placed on the newly promoted club including a three-match ban on the club chairman.

Despite the banishment, Remo Stars won their first match at their temporary home with two goals from Victor Mbaoma and Kingsley Akemini against Katsina United to take them second of the log in Group A of the abridged 2018/19 NPFL season.
