NPFL: Makinwa Lands Katsina United Top Coaching Job

Henry Makinwa has been appointed head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Katsina United on a one-year deal.

The former Abia Warriors handler replaces Abdulahi Biffo who left the Changi Boys to join second-tier outfit, Kwara United at the expiration of his contract.

“It gives us great pleasure to welcome Henry Makinwa to Katsina United as head coach,” club chairman Prince Abdulssamad Badamasi said in a statement.

“Makinwa possesses fantastic knowledge and understanding of the game, having coached clubs like ABS and Abia Warriors. He played Nigeria league for many seasons before moving abroad to continue his playing career.

“I believe with his vast knowledge of the game as a coach and former player, we have made the right choice.

“We will do everything we can to ensure he has all the support required to be a huge success.”

The former ABS gaffer, who will be assisted by Bishir Sadauki, is expected to resume work on Monday, 9th September.
