NPFL: Lokosa Reveals Goalscoring Secret, Sets Target (AUDIO)

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) leading scorer Junior Lokosa has opened up to www.busybuddiesng.com on the secret behind his impressive goalscoring form for Kano Pillars in the top flight this season.

The former First Bank FC goal poacher is averaging nearly a goal per game, having netted 10 times in 11 league matches for the Sai Masu Gida in the current campaign.

In a season where he has taken the NPFL by storm with his sensational strikes, Lokosa says his form is down to the brilliance of his Kano Pillars side.

“First of all, I give God the glory for life, his grace upon me and my team play, all thanks to Him,” he said.

“In fact, let me say the entire Kano State; they are solidly behind us. The way we are playing, we are improving everyday and that’s why (I am scoring goals).

“It is not by my personal ability, my team is playing very well, and when you are playing very well, the goals will come,” he added.

Following his incredible form in front of goal this season, lots of football followers in the country are now tipping the Pillars forward to break Mfon Udoh’s 23-goal record this season, but Lokosa informed www.busybuddiesng.com that he has set a target which he is keeping close to his chest at the moment.

“Every striker has a target; I have a target but it is not what I can say for now. It is personal, and I am keeping it to myself so I can have a strong boldness to attack it very hard,” he said.

“I don’t want to talk about it now.”
