NPFL Latest: Kwara United Off The Bottom After Lobi Win As Rangers Move Into Top 10 With Rivers Victory

Kwara United have moved off the bottom on the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) table after they secured a second win of the season with a 1-0 win over Lobi Stars at home in what was a Matchday 6 clash.

Stephen Alfred was the matchwinner for the Afonja Warriors with his 10th minute strike.

The win was enough to move Kwara United (6 points) from 20th to 19th while Lobi Stars (10 points) stay in 5th position.

The immediate past league champions Enugu Rangers are into the top 10 following a 1-0 win over Rivers United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.

Kelvin Itoya was the hero for Gbenga Ogunbote’s team after he scored the only goal of the game with 14 second half minutes gone.

In the final game played on Thursday, Go Round FC have climbed out of the relegation zone with a 2-1 home win over Nasarawa United.
