“No doubt, Kwara United are a good side; the game will be difficult, but I am optimistic that my team (Katsina United) will win the match,” he declared.
“We cannot afford to drop any points at home because this league is a difficult one. Every game is very important and we will take them one at a time.
“The players are fully ready because they are all aware of the importance of this game.”
Both teams clashed last season in the NPFL and it was Kwara United who claimed a 2–1 victory at the Kwara Sports Complex Stadium in Ilorin.
The reversed fixture of the game was canceled as a result of the indefinite suspension of the league by the LMC.
However, Katsina United took their revenge in the quarterfinal of the Aiteo Cup with an emphatic 3–1 victory at the Agege Stadium in Lagos the same season.
Destiny Ashadi, Tasiu Lawal and Usule Martins were all on target, while Segun Alebiosu scored Kwara United only goal of the game from the penalty spot.
