NPFL: Kano Pillars Signs Stephen Eze for an Undisclosed Fee

Four-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions Kano Pillars have signed defender Stephen Eze from FC Ifeanyi Ubah for an undisclosed fee.

The former Sunshine Stars center-back joins Pillars after a two-year stint with the Anambra Warriors. He is expected to replace Jamiu Alimi who is reported to be on his way to the Major League Soccer (MLS) next month.

The CHAN Eagles star was a part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2016 Championship for African Nations in Rwanda, where the Eagles failed to get past the first round of the tournament.

The strong central defender, 23, also helped Nigeria reach the final of the 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations in Ghana, losing 4-1 to the hosts.
