Akwa United’s head coach John Obuh has promised to make things difficult for league champions Enyimba when both sides clash today in a Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 3 encounter in Aba.
Like every other coach at the Uyo based club in the last three seasons, Obuh is finding it difficult to set sail for the Promise Keepers on a high note after his side was held in Uyo on Thursday by Abia Warriors.
“We had a very stubborn opponent in our home,” Obuh confessed, (already against Enyimba) we had a friendly game with them and I am sure we have to take it back to them.
“We cannot be the ones that are always comforted every time. We have to let people comfort them. And that’s the approach we are are going to use,” the former Nigeria U20 Coach promised.
Akwa United are currently 10th on the log and have managed only two points in their opening two games this season.
Meanwhile, Enyimba who are also representing Nigeria in the CAF Confederations Cup are third in the NPFL standings after convincingly beating Nassarawa United 3-1 in a rescheduled Matchday 2 fixture three days ago.
The match is scheduled for 4pm at the Enyimba International Stadium.
